New Gmail inbox design causes issues with in-line images showing as attachments in replies

In April 2018, Google introduced a new look for Gmail.

This resulted in a change which meant that whenever an email containing signature images was replied to, the original images appeared as attachments, each labelled as noname rather than being inserted in-line as they were in the original email.

After testing with and without the Crossware Mail Signature service, it was found that this issue is not caused by the Crossware Mail Signature service. It is actually a bug in Gmail and will likely impact all services inserting in-line images into emails.

This issue has been reported to Google as a bug and we hope for a quick resolution.
