Installation of Crossware Mail Signature
Installing on the first server
The installer is a windows executable which utilises the HCL Notes client to perform the installation.
Depending on your server platform, the installer performs the following steps.
Windows Executable
Checks that your HCL Notes client is running and then runs the .nsf file.
Notes Database
Installs the configuration database on the destination server.
Server Update (Windows)
Copies the DLL's and the .EXE to the destination server application directory. It then updates the notes.ini with the entries for loading the DLL's.
Server Update (iSeries)
Copies the installation instructions and the SAVE FILE to the local machine for manual installation.
Server Update (Linux/ UNIX)
Copies the installation instructions, installation script and a compressed tar to the local machine for manual installation.
Installation on additional servers
To install the application on additional servers open the the View Install Log and use the action button labelled Install on Server.
This option will create a replica of the configuration database on the server and then perform the "Server Update" section. (See above).
Installation on clustered servers
To install the application on a Domino Cluster please follow the instructions for Additional Servers, you must install the application on all cluster members. Creating a replica of the esig.nsf database is not sufficient - the executables need to be installed.
