I have received a non-delivery report (NDR) email with a SPF validation error. How do I resolve this for Google?

 

Solution

1. View the header of the email you have sent.

  • Open the email > Select the Kebab menu icon on the top-right > Click Show original

 

2. Scan the header for the string "spf=fail".

3. If the header is showing "spf=fail", visit SPF Query Tool (kitterman.com) or any other SPF lookup tool


4. Type in your "Domain Name" and click "Get SPF Record" (if any).


5. Your SPF record should look similar to this example.


IF your SPF does NOT look similar, please add the Crossware SPF record relevant to your region found in the table below.
