How to Setup Dynamic Signatures | Crossware Knowledge Base

IMPORTANT NOTE: Dynamic Signatures is not supported on Windows 7.

Dynamic Signatures is an Outlook Web add-in that allows users to preview and insert signatures into emails from the Outlook Client and OWA.

Enable the Add-in

1. In your Microsoft 365 Portal, open Settings > Integrated apps and click Add-ins

This should open a new window. Now click on Deploy Add-In.

Click Next.

Click Upload custom apps.

2. Use the following URL to deploy the add-in to your organisation:

https://addin.crossware365.com/assets/manifest.xml

Then click Upload.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The manifest URL has to include the 'https://' portion in order to pass validation.

3. Select who you want to deploy the add-in.

Using the Add-in

Once the add-in has been deployed it will be available to users when they create a new email in the Outlook or OWA client.

Outlook Client

OWA

Once a user has opened the add-in, they can then pin the add-in, so it automatically opens when a new email is created.

Supported Platforms

The add-in utilised new features within Outlook and not all features are available on all Outlook clients.

OWA: all features are supported.

Outlook Client: need to be on Monthly Channel.

Modern Authentication also needs to be enabled for your tenant:

NOTE: ERROR 13003 indicates that Modern Authentication has not been enabled.

Assigning Features to users

Navigate to Manage Features in the Settings page in the Crossware Portal

Enable the feature you are wanting to use

Available Features

1. Signature Select

Allow users of the add-in to be able to SELECT the preview of their signature.

The user will be presented with a selection of signatures.

2. Signature Insert

Allow users of the Add-in to be able to INSERT their signature.

3. Signature Refresh

Allow users of the Add-in to be able to REFRESH their signature.

4. Signature Auto Insert

Will allow users of the add-in to be able to configure the AUTO INSERT option on the configuration.

The add-in needs to be pinned to auto insert the signature when a new email is created.

5. Signature include body

Will allow users of the add-in to be able to configure the include body option on the configuration.

This option will send the content of the email to the Crossware Service so the signature can be displayed within the context of the email.

6. Signature default section

Will allow users of the add-in to be able to configure the default section option on the configuration.

The users can set a default signature, which will be inserted into the email.

NOTE: For Dynamic Signatures, rules do evaluate on blocks, but not when assigned directly to signatures
