Crossware on Mobile for Microsoft 365

Crossware supports both client-side and server-side signatures when sending from Outlook for Mobile on iOS and Android.

Server-Side

If your Crossware Exchange Connectors are set up (see here), and you are sending from your Mobile while logged into your Microsoft account, your signature will be automatically attached by the Crossware servers after you send the email. In this scenario, users will not see the signature while composing.

Client-Side

Crossware’s client-side signature solution – Dynamic Signatures – is available for Mobile on the Outlook App for iOS and Android. This will insert the signature into the email before it is sent. i.e. During compose

To set up Dynamic Signatures for Mobile, ensure that Dynamic Signatures is set up (see here), and that the Outlook for Mobile Auto-Insert feature is enabled for the selected users, or all users

1. Because mobile auto-insert requires a change to the manifest, you will first need to make sure this is up to date in your Microsoft Admin Centre. Navigate to Settings > Integrated apps > Add-ins

2. Once on the Add-ins page, select Dynamic Signatures (If this is not deployed see here) and select Update add-in

3. Paste in the manifest: https://addin.crossware365.com/assets/manifest.xml and select Update add-in.

NOTE: Microsoft states it may take up to 72 hours for your add-in to be deployed however, we have seen propagation times of up to 7 days.

4. Navigate to Manage Features in the Crossware Portal

https://portal.crossware365.com/

5. Ensure that ‘Outlook for Mobile Auto-Insert’ is enabled, and a role (this can have any name) is active or assigned to all users.

6. On Outlook for Mobile, navigate to Settings > Add-ins, make sure you are on the correct account in the drop down, and ensure that the Dynamic Signatures Add-in is selected.

NOTE: If you cannot see the add-in, it may be that you have recently updated or installed the add-in – see the note in step 3.

  1. Now when composing an email your default signature will automatically insert.

NOTE: There are some Microsoft limitations for mobile add-ins

  • - Mobile does not support the Dynamic Signatures Panel and will only insert your default signature.

  • - Your signature will not switch depending on internal or external recipients.

  • - You will only be able to see you signature in full screen, the collapsed reply view will not show your signature.
