IMPORTANT NOTE: This article refers to permanently disabling Crossware Mail Signature. If you only want to temporarily disable Crossware Mail Signature, please follow the instructions in this article

If you are no longer using Crossware Mail Signature (either in Trial or with a current subscription), you will need to disable Crossware Mail Signature in your Microsoft 365 environment.

This process involves deleting the Rule, Connectors and Group associated with Crossware Mail Signature.
1. Go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Admin

2. DELETE THE RULE
(a) Go to Mail Flow > Rules.

(b) Select the Rule you want to remove (called CrosswareTransportRule by default), and then click the Delete icon.
 
IMPORTANT: Please wait 60 minutes before proceeding with deleting the connectors. Microsoft recommends that these changes can take up to an hour to propagate through the Microsoft 365 infrastructure. If you do not wait, you may experience disruptions to email delivery.
 
3. DELETE THE CONNECTORS
 
(a) Go to Mail Flow > connectors

(b) Select the Inbound Connector (called CrosswareInboundConnector).

(c) Click the Delete icon above the list.

(d) Select the Outbound Connector (called CrosswareOutboundConnector)

(e) Click the Delete icon.
 

4. DELETE THE GROUP(s)
 
(a) Go to Recipients > Groups.

(b) Find the CrosswareMailSignatureUsers group.
 
(c) Find the CrosswareMailSignatureAdmins group (this is an optional Group and may not have been created)

(d) Click the Delete icon above the list.
